Grand Opening of Cycling Circuit at Steven Burke Sports Hub, 28th June 2014.
Saturday 28th June 2014 saw a fantastic formal opening ceremony at the newly completed cycling facility, part of the Steven Burke sports Hub. Pendle’s Olympic Champion rode through the finish line to break the ceremonial ribbon. Steven was be accompanied by Ian Wilkinson, Paul Oldham, Alan Ramsbottom and dozens of the areas young and no so young riders.
The ceremony was followed by a full programme of youth racing, the CDNW Youth Series event 4.
Pendle’s Olympic Champion was on hand to ride through the finish line and break the ceremonial ribbon. Steven was accompanied by 3 local cycling aces Ian Wilkinson, Paul Oldham and Alan Ramsbottom with dozens of the areas young riders and not so young riders.
The ceremony was followed by a full programme of youth racing with round 4 of the CDNW Youth Series.
