Pendle Council is celebrating funding to improve sporting facilities and create a dedicated cycle track in Nelson.
150 thousand pounds from Sport England Inspired Facilities for the new Steven Burke Sports Hub based at Swinden Playing Fields will be matched with another £150,000 match funding which will pay for a cycle track around the cricket and football pitches
The funding will also allow for the old pavilion to be refurbished and the car park to be resurfaced to attract cyclists, cricketers and footballers from all over Pendle to the Steven Burke Sports Hub.
