Sunday 20th October 2024
Martin Woffindin and CDPP are organising this event as part of the North West Cyclo-cross League at Towneley Park, Burnley on Sunday 20th October.
Races for all ages and ability. Each age group is for all abilities, from novice to experienced. Cyclocross is one of the few competitive cycling events where novice and experienced riders can safely ride in the same race. To get started, no need for any special bike, a basic mountain bike will do for adults (no motors!) and for younger children just about any bike with grippy tyres, 2 breaks and preferably some sort of gears.
The Cyclocross age categories can be found here, please check before you enter a race.
You can enter the race using the British Cycling online entry system, the entry system closes 23:55 on Tuesday 15th October 2024. There is no entry on the day.
When you sign in on the day, you will be issued with a race number (arm and back) and an electronic timing chip. Electronic timing is used at all races.
Volunteers and Helpers
We welcome volunteers to help with the course setup the day before and with marshaling on the day, all greatly appreciated. Please contact Martin, the organiser: cx@cdpp.org.uk if you are able to help.
